Kodaikanal is best enjoyed during the Winter [November to January] when the monsoon retreats, and with the clear sky along with the serene ambiance, it is picture perfect to enjoy your holidays. However, a visit during the monsoon is never a bad idea as well. Though it would be foggy, Kodaikanal is still entertaining with a different outfit all over. The bone-chilling weather and the mist covered mountains excite every mountain lover. Trekking and sightseeing would be a bit odd due to unexpected rainfall most of the time. Yet, it must never back you off from making a visit to the princess of hill stations as she has got a lot more in her lap to gift you a great holiday.

Kodaikanal is best enjoyed indoors during the monsoon. A cup of tea and a wide window in your room is all you need to enjoy the monsoon at Kodaikanal. If you do not mind getting wet, get out and stroll through the lush green valleys and pine forests of Kodai. Stand atop the hills and feel the heavenly mist skim past you. Head to the most off-beat paths to enjoy a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Listen to the music of nature and get carried away to a whole new world you always love to be in.
If the weather favors you, go for sightseeing around Kodaikanal. Visit the Pillar rocks, enjoy a walk through the Coakers walk which offers you some beautiful vistas of the gorgeous Kodai hills, witness the sunrise from the Dolphin Nose, try some hot and spicy street food, opt for a boat ride along the placid waters of Kodai Lake and make a visit to the charming village of Vattakanal, the so-called “Little Israel” which owes its name to the pack of Israeli tourists it sees all year round. Do watch out for the monkeys while you roam around especially if you hold any eatables. They show no mercy in snatching it from you.
